GYM DIVIDER CURTAIN
(Series 6100 walk-draw gym divider curtain)

PART 1 - GENERAL

1.01 DESCRIPTION OF WORK
  1. This section includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, scaffolding, and services required to finish and install all gym divider curtain equipment:
    1. Furnish and install necessary hardware to attach gym divider curtain to building.
    2. Clean up and disposal of debris as a result of this work.
  2. Work not included:
    1. All electrical power, conduit, wiring, junction boxes, key switches and plugs which shall be installed by electrical contractor.
    2. Finished coat of paint (if necessary).
1.02 SUBMITTALS
  1. Shop Drawings: Contractor shall submit to the architect complete shop drawings and as built drawings. Drawings shall show method of anchoring, support, mounting locations, etc. Templates for all embedded bolt anchorages, sleeves, etc. Six (6) copies of each drawing or diagram shall be submitted.
1.03 WARRANTY
  1. A. Furnish three (3) copies of a written guarantee of all labor, equipment, and materials for a period of all one (1) year from the date of substantial completion of the building.
PART 2 - PRODUCTS

2.01 MANUFACTURERS
  1. Acceptable manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, with minor variations as accepted by manufacturer due to manufacturing differences, provide products by one of the following:

2.02 MATERIALS FOR MODEL NO. 6100, WALK-DRAW GYM DIVIDER CURTAIN
  1. Structural support
    1. The support system shall be a die formed clamp system rated at 500 lbs. minimum and designed to conform to the building structure. Supports are not to exceed 8'-0" maximum O.C.
  2. Track
    1. Shall be heavy 16 gauge galvanized steel with the channel connected to supports by means of a 1/2" eye-bolt and swivel hook. Tandem precision ball bearing nylon rollers shall support the curtain with No.8 x .135 Jac chain and S-hooks. The S-hooks are attached to the curtain through No. 2 spur grommets set in the top hem of the curtain.
  3. Control
    1. The key switch shall be a high security, three position, momentary contact switch and shall be supplied with a flush type wall plate by ADP. A single electrical box shall be provided by others.
  4. Construction
    1. The solid vinyl shall be 18 oz. vinyl polyester reinforced fabric. The mesh vinyl shall be 6.5 oz. polyester woven weave coated with polyvinyl chloride. All seems to be electronically welded with 1" wide full contact bar welds. A pocket shall be formed at the bottom of the fabric, the full length of the curtain to accept a continuous 2/0 coil proof chain. Choose color of vinyl from manufactures standard colors.

2.03 OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

PART 3 - EXECUTION

3.01 INSTALLATION
  1. Shall be completed by an installer who is experienced in installing gym divider curtains.
  2. The manufacturer shall approve installer.
  3. Installation shall adhere to manufacturer's printed instructions and accepted shop drawings.
